Qigong

''Where is flow there is health, where is stagnation disease will set. Keep moving.''

What is Qigong?

Qigong is a holistic form of exercise that encompasses three key components: physical posture, breathwork, and mindfulness or visualization. The practice of Qigong involves moving Qi and Blood throughout the body to prevent stagnation, which can lead to illness. By incorporating Qigong into our daily routine, we can proactively prevent illness and maintain physical and emotional well-being.

This practice promotes mindfulness, allowing individuals to pause, breathe, and connect with their bodies to better understand how movement impacts their overall well-being. In today's fast-paced world filled with high levels of stress, Qigong serves as a valuable tool to counteract these challenges. It is a practice that can be embraced by individuals of all ages and offers numerous benefits as a life skill and effective form of exercise.

What is Clinical Qigong?

Clinical Qigong is a branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It is rooted in the concept that the meridians that run through the body distribute Qi (vital energy) to all organs. There are four branches of TCM:

·      Acupuncture: inserting needles

·      Tui na: form of massage

·      Herbs: ingestion of prescriptive herbal formulas

·      Clinical Qigong: prescriptive exercises

Michaela offers Clinical Qigong prescriptions in her

clinic to supplement an acupuncture treatment or administer it as a stand-alone treatment. Prescriptions typically consist of physical posture, breathwork, and visualization

PULL DOWN the HEAVENS: is prescribed to reset Qi and root the Heart Mind energetically.

SWAYING: Clinical Qigong to regulate Qi, which also increases peristaltic action.

DAOIST FIVE YIN: Daoist Five Yin is a prescription that strengthens the lungs, kidneys, liver, heart, and spleen organs.

GOLDEN BALL:  Clinical Qigong for Chronic Conditions. A beautiful prescription using the eight extraordinary meridians with a super strengthening action.

What To Expect in a Clinical Qigong Treatment?

To benefit fully from clinical Qigong prescription full traditional diagnosis is undertaken first to establish where the weaknesses in your body are. Once traditional diagnosis is completed prescription exercise will be given and demonstrated. You will then have exercise to keep and practice to strengthen your body and Mind and enable you to address the weakness in your body and replenish the energy levels.
